PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

XR NYU Tandon’s Spring Program for Extending Reality Through Virtual Worlds is a 2-week program that introduces high-school students to the fundamentals of designing and developing augmented reality (AR) based experiences with a focus on developing basic applications and experience. Over the course, students will learn to create creative, useful, and engaging AR solutions utilizing visual, sound, and music assets, and using a variety of beginner-friendly software tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Aero, and Lens Studio. The course will also introduce students to the professional landscapes of XR practice, and to techniques in storytelling and creative production using XR as a medium.

Meet Our Mentors

The offerings in Digital Design and Media are led by Profs. Ahmed Ansari and Scott Fitzgerald, inspired by their own courses and those of their colleagues in Tandon's Integrated Design and Media program or an introductory robotics class.
